Super-Charge Your Business with Fibre

Broadband is of paramount importance for businesses across various industries due to its numerous advantages and the essential role it plays in modern-day operations. Having a stable and high-speed broadband is now more important than ever, due to the ever-changing technology and the requirements needed to operate them.

With the forthcoming BT copper line turnoff in 2025, it is now important for all business to consider upgrading their services from copper to fibre broadband. ETS are fully equipped to provide this seamless transaction and take the worry of this transmission away from their customers.

The fibre products available to businesses include:

  • SoGea (Single order generic ethernet access) – This is the basic replacement for ADSL (asymmetric digital subscriber line) and FTTC (fibre to the cabinet) products. The product operates on the copper line network, so it’s sole purpose is to act as a stop-gap whilst BT install Fibre across the entire UK. SoGea can provide speeds up to 80 Mbit/s download and 20 Mbit/s upload.
  • FTTP (Fibre to the premises) – This is a middle tier replacement for copper. Whereas SoGea is run from the exchange to the cabinet and then to your premises, FTTP is a fibre-optic line run directly from the exchange to your premises. This allows the product to offer speeds up to 1GB Mbit/s download and 220 Mbit/s upload. FTTP will also provide a far more stable connection compared to SoGea.
  • EAD (Ethernet access direct) – Often referred to as a Leased line is a dedicated line directly from the exchange to your premises. It offers an uncontended connection, meaning your connection speeds and stability will not be affected due to high usage from nearby properties. As standard the connection offers symmetrical download and upload speeds. BT also provide a 8 hour fix time 24/07 365 days a year, should any problems arise.
