Single Order Generic Ethernet Access (SoGEA) is a data-only copper product that replaces Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC). It serves as a stop-gap solution while BT works on extending full-fibre coverage across the UK.
SoGEA offers download speeds of up to 80 Mbit/s and upload speeds of up tp 20 Mbit/s. it is more reliable than other copper products because it deactivates voice services, reducing susceptibility to interference.

Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) differs from SoGEA and FTTC as it bypasses the street cabinet, connecting directly from the exchange to your premises. This direct fibre connection eliminates the need for copper at any stage, resulting in faster and more reliable connectivity.
The product typically offers speeds of up to 1 Gbps, but higher speeds can be provided upon request, depending on your location and the capabilities of the local exchange.

A leased line is a dedicated, fixed-bandwidth private data connection that provides symmetrical download and upload speeds. It’s uncontended, meaning the service remains unaffected by peak usage times, ensuring consistent performance throughout the day.
The product can offer speeds up to 10 Gbps, subject to the capabilities of the local exchange.

A 4G failover connection serves as an internet backup using 4G LTE. If an outage occurs, your business network automatically switches to the 4G connection, preventing any operational downtime.
Depending on your location, speeds of up to 100 Mbps can be achieved. As partners with all four major networks, we can offer this service to 99% of areas across the UK.

Case Study – Holland & Barrett
Since 2012, ETS has been a trusted connectivity partner for Holland & Barrett, managing broadband services across the UK, Ireland, and parts of Europe.
Over the years, we’ve successfully delivered multiple network upgrade projects, ensuring their connectivity infrastructure evolves alongside advancing technology. From ADSL to EFM, EFM to EoFTTC, and now EAD (leased lines), we’ve helped future-proof their network. Today, EAD circuits are installed in more than 500 stores, with the rollout continuing across the estate.
Our high-performance connectivity enables stores, distribution centres, and head offices to communicate seamlessly, supporting critical business operations including stock management, payment processing, financial reporting, and security systems. The reliable network infrastructure is particularly vital during peak trading periods, ensuring stores remain fully operational when demand is at its highest.
To further enhance resilience, every installation is supported by Teltonika routers with integrated 4G failover. Should a primary broadband service experience an outage, connectivity automatically switches to the backup mobile network, minimising disruption and maintaining business continuity. The advanced security features built into the Teltonika platform also provide an additional layer of protection, helping safeguard Holland & Barrett’s network and business-critical data from external threats.
Through our long-standing partnership, ETS continues to provide Holland & Barrett with a scalable, secure, and resilient connectivity solution that supports the ongoing growth and success of their retail network.
